Chen Lifu 陈立夫, a prominent figure in the Kuomintang (KMT) during the Chiang Kai-shek era, was known for his role as a tough intelligence chief and as a leader of the CC Clique, a powerful faction within the KMT. He wrote a book on the Zhong Yong 中庸 with many of the same points of emphasis as Mr Yin Li 尹立. His was a work of pious sermonising, like this.
